Navisworks is Autodesk's 3D modeling software for visualization and presentation, which is used by designers, architects, engineers, homebuilders and anyone who needs to produce high-fidelity 3D content. It has many features that make it very versatile. You can model anything from the most detailed of architectural spaces down to the tiniest of mechanical parts. With Navisworks you can share your design work with anyone on any device without having to send them a file over email . The software supports renderings in VR 360° views along with VR annotations. It supports VR headsets that you can use to walk around in. You can also create CAD-based VR experiences that you can take anywhere with you. Navisworks consists of several core applications, including Modeling, Simulation, Collaboration, Simulation data management and Analysis. The software is available for Windows and macOS, supports native 64 bit apps on both platforms. Navisworks allows multiple users to collaborate on the same project without having to be physically present at the same time. The software has natural language HMI (Human Machine Interface) which allows designers to interact with simulations without writing code or performing small coding or programming tasks by simply selecting commands from lists or editing text fields. Navisworks can be used to view and edit various types of data. The software supports DWF, DXF and MicroStation formats, as well as other file formats like PDFs and JPEGs. Navisworks allows engineers to represent, document and share their designs. This software can be used across multiple platforms which includes Windows PCs, Mac desktops, tablets and phones. Navisworks supports the cloud storage service Dropbox for content management which enables developers to access files from anywhere using the cloud storage account. The software is compatible with Autodesk 360 so users can connect their account with Autodesk 360 for storing designs in the cloud. Navisworks supports the following features: Navisworks 3D was released in 2005 after Autodesk purchased the company that developed Navisworks, then named Industrial Desktop, in June 2003. Navisworks 3D was the first 3D modeling software to be available for both Windows and Mac. The release of Navisworks 3D brought many new features to the product including enhanced 3D inspection workflow, support for georeferencing camera shots and integrated analysis functionality. These features were implemented in Version 2.0 which was released in 2007 by Autodesk (then called Alias). Navisworks Freedom was released in 2009. The new version removed the non-free modules that were previously available with Navisworks 3D, including freeform modeler, industrial designer module, drap and drop 3D text, and dynamic viewing objects. Navisworks Freedom also supported the ability to connect with Autodesk 360 which allowed users to share files securely without having to email around big files. The same year the first upgrade for Navisworks Freedom was released; Version 2010 was made available in stages between 2009 and 2011. cfa1e77820
